LETTER: Raising funds for vets’s service dog

To Ozaukee Press:

The American Legion and Legion Auxiliary Unit 82 and Post 82 wish to thank all who supported our fundraiser at the Van Ells-Schanen Legion Post 82.

“St. Pat Celebrates 101 Years of the American Legion” was the first fundraiser in a series to provide a service dog for an Ozaukee County veteran.

Bravo, our mascot, was introduced at the fundraiser. You can visit him at our post where you will find him sitting on his podium by his fire hydrant, which Bravo is using to collect donations.

We really appreciate those who attended the fundraiser considering the current events and we thank the numerous businesses that contributed items to our silent auction or monetary donations to Bravo’s fire hydrant.

Diane Bukhalter, Unit 82 president
Karry Kultgen, vice president
