LETTER: Portal Fish Day Run/Walk

To Ozaukee Press:
On behalf of Portal Inc., I would like to thank everyone who contributed to making our 33rd annual run/walk, held July 21 in conjunction with Port Fish Day, a huge success.
Proceeds from the run/walk are used to provide community services and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The outpouring of support from around the community for this fundraising event demonstrates a shared interest for achieving our mission to advance employment and meaningful community life opportunities for individuals served by Portal.
Thank you to the City of Port Washington and Port Fish Day for providing the venue for the run/walk. The route provides a challenging but picturesque experience which is greatly enjoyed by all those who participate. It is always a pleasure to cheer on each runner and walker — thank you for your participation.
Thank you to the Port Washington police, fire and street departments for their efforts ensuring the safety of all runners and walkers. Thank you also to the citizens of Port Washington who provide encouragement and water along the route.
The time and effort of more than 150 volunteers —pre-race and race day — is instrumental in creating an organized, fun event and is greatly appreciated.
Many thanks to all the sponsors that provided financial and other support: Ascension, Sommers, Rockwell Automation, Ziolkowski Patent Solutions Group SC, Ansay & Associates, Anchor Enterprises, Allied Insulation Supply, Shirli Flack, TriPar Qwik Stop, Kohler Generators, Port Washington State Bank, MIBA, Simplicity Foundation Fund, 5 Corners, Shopko Express, ChilftonLarsonAllen, Veolia, Cornerstone Community Bank, and Delta Dental. This event could not have happened without their partnership. Special thanks to Jim Ott, our official run/walk starter.
The time, effort and enthusiasm of so many truly make this a well-organized and fun event. We hope to have you join us for next year’s run/walk on July 20, 2019. Thank you for supporting Portal Inc.
