LETTER: Port-Saukville community embraced PWHS homecoming

To Ozaukee Press:

Port Washington and Saukville are great communities. Homecoming week each year is a great way to demonstrate the pride we all feel about our hometown and our high school.

From the Powder Puff football games on Sunday, October 18 all the way through to the homecoming dance last Saturday night, the communities were filled with enthusiasm for their school district and our students. We cannot thank you, the members and the Port Washington-Saukville community, enough for your encouragement and support. You sent the message to our students that you value them and take pride in all they are doing.

Once again, our students conducted themselves in an outstanding manner throughout the week. Our Student Council, led by Jen Riley and Emily O’Brien, orchestrated many amazing events for students and staff. Our band, choir, dance team and class advisers all worked overtime last week to make homecoming a very special event.

Thank you to the teachers, support staff and students for making this homecoming so memorable

We also thank the Pirate Parent Group and Athletic Booster Club, which organized the annual tailgate party and managed the concessions stand for homecoming events.

Thank you also to all the sponsors that made it possible to provide all the games.

Thank you, everyone, for your dedication to our youth and to the community. We are proud to be a part of this incredible school district.
