LETTER: Pleitner has a vision to keep Port beautiful, clean and safe
To Ozaukee Press:
We are pleased to endorse Jon Pleitner for the position of Common Council person from Aldermanic District 5.
We have known Jon from when he and his wife Mikala moved to Port Washington
in 2013. From the day we met, Jon took a keen interest in the city and was anxious to find out everything he could about our city and ways he could get involved in our community.
As city administrator, I had the pleasure of working with Jon in 2017 when he was first elected. I continued to work with him over the next few years during the time of city growth and financial challenges. He served as chairman of the Finance Committee and on the Port Washington Parks and Recreation Board.
He succeeded in working with the different mayors, council members and staff to keep property taxes reasonable and city services as good or better for residents. We have no doubt that Jon will continue to do his best for the residents of his district over the next two years.
Jon is an experienced public servant with a clear vision of where he wants
Port Washington to go in the next decade. Many residents share his vision because it focuses on keeping our city a beautiful, safe, clean and enjoyable place to live.
