LETTER: Piles of cut brush, fallen trees disfigure bike trail greenway
To Ozaukee Press:
I walk the Ozaukee Interurban Trail in Port Washington from the community garden down to Jackson Street nearly every day.
Over the winter, many trees fell. Also, the brush was cut back from the trail with a Brush Hog or something similar.
The debris have just been left where it fell. It is very unsightly. It looks like a tornado went through.
I am hoping some cleanup is yet to be done.
I don’t understand why the greenery was so savagely cut back from the trail. When everything is green and lush, it’s very charming to have the shrubbery close to the walking trail.
Right now it’s pretty ugly.
