LETTER: Our children will pay price for abolishing education agency

To Ozaukee Press:

As a former high school teacher, I am irate at the action of Trump to abolish the Department of Education. The department is the advocate for our children who are unable to speak up for themselves in this assault.

Closing the department will eliminate programs and protections guaranteeing educational opportunities for all students no matter their race, gender or ancestry, including students who are bullied or have ADHD or autism.
