LETTER: Nov. 6 will be our opportunity to stand up and say, ‘Enough!’

To Ozaukee Press:

In today’s hyper-political climate, politics are no doubt taking center stage. But on Nov. 6 we will be able to demonstrate our political beliefs in a peaceful demonstration—by voting.

What the past two years have shown is that all elections matter and have true consequences.

Unfortunately, they also have shown us the dark side of losing.

The hearings for a Supreme Court nominee were a circus.

The Democrats, including Hillary Clinton, are calling for civil unrest. Former Attorney General Eric Holder says, “When they go low, we kick them.”

Rep. Maxine Waters is calling for getting in the voters faces.

This has now amplified into death threats, stalking in the hallways of Congress, restaurants and in airports.

Two Minnesota Republican representatives were physically attacked.

ANTIFA is ruling cities with constant violence, actors and comedians are on a constant banter against the president, Alec Baldwin is calling to “overthrow the government of the USA,” Sen. Tim Kaine is calling for “fight in the streets.”

Let’s not forget the most serious assault, the attempted assassination of members of Congress on a Virginia baseball field.

These antics are nothing new and were even present at the state level while occupying the capital building in Madison during the protests when millions of dollars in damage was done to the building.

When will this all stop? When will all Americans stand up say, “Enough?” I’d like to think it will be Nov. 6 when we all determine who really best represents the USA.
