LETTER: Matera is dedicated to serve his home community, county

To Ozaukee Press:

I would like to take the opportunity to reiterate my endorsement for Tony Matera to be the next Ozaukee County supervisor for District 7. When I made the decision to not run for re-election to that position, the first person who came to mind to take over for me was Tony.

Tony is a lifelong resident of Port Washington, and he has given back to the community his entire adult life. He’s been president of the United Way of Northern Ozaukee. He has served on many local committees, boards and associations, including the Port Washington Plan Commission, the city’s economic and marketing committees, Harbor Commission, coal dock restoration, Fish Day and Port soccer, just to name a few.

Tony understands the role of county government. He will continue the work to maintain and grow quality services for the residents of the county, making quality of life a priority. He understands the importance of doing this while keeping taxes low.

Tony has a passion for the city of Port and Ozaukee County. He genuinely wants to serve and is eager to do so. I just know that he would do a fantastic job representing the citizens of District 7 on the County Board.  I strongly encourage everyone to vote for Tony Matera.
