LETTER: Make frustrations a positive force, volunteer for Humanity

To Ozaukee Press:

When I get my copy of Ozaukee Press every week from the gas station, the first page I turn to is the Opinion Page. I want to see what the current mood of the community is. Week after week, it is filled with letters from readers who are frustrated with government, politicians and various things out of control.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could turn that frustration into something good for once? Maybe if people started to donate their time and talent to volunteer organizations in Ozaukee County, like Habitat For Humanity, we could build a better life for everyone.

Habitat does more than just build houses. Habitat’s “A Brush with Kindness” repair program helps people be able to stay in their homes with small repairs as needed.

Volunteers are needed to help with more than just building. They can also help with fundraising and provide meals for our hard working crews when they are working on our current house in Grafton. Students in need of community service hours have provided meals for us and can help with fundraising.

Habitat For Humanity volunteers come from all over Ozaukee County and from different backgrounds. If you want to learn more about us, please visit our website ozhh.org and your request will be forwarded to the proper person.

Let’s all make for a better world .
