letter: Lions’ chicken dinners helped numerous county nonprofits
To Ozaukee Press:
We would like to thank everyone who came to Veterans Memorial Park and supported the 33rd annual Grafton Lions Club Chicken Roast on June 12.
Thank you to all the Lions members for their hard work on the day of the event, and the spouses and significant others who helped in the food distribution, plus anyone else who contributed to make the day a success.
Special thanks to the Grafton Public Works and Jake Arndt, Trustee Amy Luft, Village President Jim Brunquell, Police Chief Jeff Caponera and Fire Chief Bill Rice for their assistance.
And we thank our generous business partners that helped sponsor the event.
Unsold food has been donated to Advocates of Ozaukee County, Balance, Inc., Family Sharing of Ozaukee, Grafton Police Department and Ozaukee County Sheriff Office.
With the dollars raised at this event, the Grafton Lions are able to contribute financial support to the many needy groups and causes in Ozaukee County and beyond, including Starting Point of Ozaukee, Portal Industries, Advocates of Ozaukee, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Ozaukee Family Services, Leader Dog and student scholarships
Gatherings like this help to make Grafton such a terrific community.
