LETTER: Let’s put an end to bashing the Blues Factory as ‘controversial’

To Ozaukee Press:
Regarding the editorial in the July 19 issue, I would like to say that, as a transplant to Port and having lived here for years now, the history of Fish Day was new and interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed most of the article until the author turned the whole experience on its head at the very end.
Was it really necessary to bash the Blues Factory again? The Ozaukee Press has continued to show its bias toward this development, using terms like “controversial” and “view blocking” and other disparaging adjectives to go along with any mention of the Blues Factory in the paper, and I believe that it should stop. I realize that the development is still a work in progress, so let it be.
I believe, as many others in Port do, that this will be a great benefit to the city. The design makes it look like the building belongs, unlike other developments that are happening in town which are taller, bigger and more out of place, but have seen no disparaging adjectives in front of their articles. Please stop with the bias, stop the division. We need that more than ever now.
