LETTER: Janet Protasiewicz should be censured for stating ‘values’

To Ozaukee Press:

The reasons for voting against Janet Protasiewicz in the state Supreme Court race are many. Her two most prevalent issues which were spoken publicly are                                                    “reproductive rights” (aka abortion) and also her belief that the state district maps are unfair and not right. She has stated that she’s “voicing her values.”

The last I checked we have three branches of government created by the founders and if Janet feels so passionate about these issues she should run for public office in the legislative branch and should not abuse her potential power on the state Supreme Court by putting her thumbs on the scales of justice in future cases. This ought to be a violation of the Wisconsin Code of Judicial Conduct, which prohibits judges from pledging how they would rule on specific cases and furthermore she should face consequences in her current position on the Milwaukee County Circuit Court.                                                                                                                                           Candidate Protasiewicz fits the definition of an activist judge who would do the bidding for the radical liberal agenda and should never be considered in the election. I’m voting for Dan Kelly because he will apply the law as written, equally and fairly and will respect our individual freedoms and liberties.                                                                                                                                                 Timothy Landing
