LETTER: How to register and vote by absentee ballot in City of Port

To Ozaukee Press:
    Absentee voting and voter registration are being offered at the city clerk’s office in the Port Washington City Hall from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the following dates:
    Early absentee voting—Oct. 15-Nov. 2; extended hours on Oct. 17 only, 5 to 7 p.m.; photo ID required.
    Early voter registration—now through Oct. 17; proof of residency required.
    Late voter registration—Oct. 18-Nov. 2; proof of residency required.
    Mailed absentee ballots—now through Nov. 1; application for absentee ballot and photo ID required; overseas military and indefinitely confined voters can request an absentee ballot on myvote.wi.gov, by mail or in person at City Hall.         For election day voter registration, voters may register and vote on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 7 a.m.-8 p.m., at their polling location; proof of residency and photo ID required.
    Some of the registration and absentee voting procedures can be accomplished online at myvote.wi.gov. All proof of residency and photo ID options can be found on the city website at www.cityofportwashington.com or by contacting the city clerk at 262-284-5585 or at City Hall.
