LETTER: How did candidates come to opposite views on bar license?

To Ozaukee Press:

I read the article about the Town of Fredonia candidate forum with interest and amusement when it was mentioned there weren’t any questions about the Little Kohler Haus.

I submitted a question asking each candidate to explain how they came to opposite views on the liquor license renewal after the guilty plea of the owner to charges directly related to the license. I wanted them to explain if that wasn’t enough of a reason to deny the license, what would be?

I showed both town chairman candidates my email from the Waubeka historic district confirming they received it and forwarded it to the person preparing questions for the forum, but to my surprise they cut the question and answer period 15 minutes short after announcing they had ran out of submitted questions.

I am asking all Town of Fredonia candidates to please take the time to write a reply to this question and let people know what their position is on this matter.
