LETTER: High Court candidates differ on partisan impact on rulings

To Ozaukee Press:

In an ideal world the election for state Supreme Court justice is based on which candidate will uphold the existing laws and apply them equally to everyone. Laws are not changed by a the Supreme Court according to the loudest voices or personal beliefs.

There is a clear difference between the two candidates for the Wisconsin high court. Daniel Kelly believes in and campaigns on his duty to uphold the law in a just way. Janet Protasiewicz campaigns with political views in support of abortion rights that suggest she would decide cases in a partisan fashion.
