LETTER: Grafton mail carriers’ efforts helped election go smoothly

To Ozaukee Press:

I just want to say thank you to the Grafton Post Office for the excellent service with the absentee ballots for the partisan primary.

Grafton mail carriers delivered the ballots on election day directly to the polling location. I even saw one carrier deliver a handful of ballots at 6 p.m. with her own vehicle.

In total, we issued 2,202 absentee ballots, and by the end of the night on election day we had processed 1,511 of those ballots. I believe about 80 of those arrived on the day of the election.

The Grafton Post Office provided a wonderful service to the village and its voters.
