LETTER: Fredonia fans turned out for local star’s bobblehead honor

To Ozaukee Press:

On July 16, the Lakeshore Chinooks hosted an Owen Miller bobblehead night. This was to recognize the accomplishments of our son when he was player for the Chinooks.

This night would not have happened without the help of many people. The

Miller family would like to thank the workers at Kapco park, Fredonia Lions

Club members and Ozaukee Press sports editor Mitch Maersch for his coverage of the event honoring Owen and, of course, all of the community members and fans who came to the game.

This is such a great area that we live in and are proud to call our home. Please continue to support the sponsors of the

Chinooks, as they bring great family entertainment to our area.

Tom and Rose Miller

Editor’s note: The bobble head portrays Owen Miller on a bicycle for his achievement of hitting for the cycle (hitting a single, double, triple and home run in a single game) when he played for the Lakeshore Chinooks. Miller, who grew up in Fredonia, is a currently an infielder for the Cleveland Guardians Major League Baseball team.
