LETTER: Fortunate to live in city with great fire and rescue service

I would like to thank the Port Washington Fire Department.

On the evening of Jan. 19, my son and I discovered my husband Bill unconscious on our boat stored at Maritime Marine.The men and women who responded were extremely professional and efficient. Getting Bill off the boat was not an easy task.

I feel extremely fortunate to live in a community with such a great rescue service.

Bill is doing great and we are all back to normal.
