    Imagine buying a residential lot at Sandy Beach along the Lake Michigan shoreline, two miles south of Harrington Beach State Park, for $50.

I would like to share with Ozaukee Press readers the story of how that actually happened.

    Some 95 years ago, my maternal grandfather, George H. Adam, a developer and once mayor of Port Washington, purchased the entire mile-long stretch of Sandy Beach.
