LETTER: Evers knows education and democracy go hand in hand
To Ozaukee Press:
Public education is the cornerstone of our democracy. Unfortunately, during
Scott Walker’s tenure as governor, funding for public education has been diminished. This has resulted in a lack of resources for students, schools and educators.
The actions of the Walker administration do not fit with our American values. If Scott Walker is re-elected, our students will not have access to the education they need to be economically successful, nor will they have the resources they need to be virtuous citizens who can participate in a strong and healthy democratic process.
It is vital for the future of public education in Wisconsin that Tony Evers, a man who has dedicated his life to education, become the next governor of Wisconsin. Deborah Anderson
