LETTER: Data center claims don’t mean much if end user is unknown

To Ozaukee Press:

Port Washington is a Bird City, designated by the signs on the boulevards and a resolution passed by the city. How will the constant noise and heat generated by the data center affect the air and water qualities that affect the birds and other wildlife and all of us?

We are being told there are many new ways to mitigate this pollution. But we don’t know who will own and operate the data center, so how can anyone make those assurance?

Who is going to pay all of the costs the city will face in preparing the annexed land for the data center? The mayor was quoted saying it will be the end user, not the city taxpayers. But who is the end user?
