To Ozaukee Press:
I would like to thank Fredonia Town Chairman Lance Leider and Supr. John Depies for voting to refuse to grant a liquor license to Dave Cook of the Little Kohler Haus.
Cook pleaded guilty to selling liquor without a license. Evidence of the illegal activity was found by state revenue agents and sheriff’s deputies who searched the tavern in July.
Leider is being challenged for the chairman position by Chris Janik this election. Janik, along with Supr. Matt Mueller, voted in favor of granting the liquor license.
Residents have complained to the Town Board about the Little Kohler Haus. In a news story about the vote denying the license, Ozaukee Press reported, “Janik said he doesn’t give a lot of credence to complaints privately reported to board members.”
Thank you, Lance, you’ve got my vote.
