LETTER: Brooks will bring change while keeping what makes city great

To Ozaukee Press:

I am writing to show my support for Robert Brooks for alderman in the City of Port. I have personally known Robert, or simply Brooks as many of us know him, for nearly a decade. He maintained roots in this community even while his time in the service required him to live elsewhere through his family and their local businesses.

I have gotten to know him as an individual who gets things done. There have not been many goals, large or small, that he has been unable to achieve, and when he tells me that he passionately wants to bring about positive change to our city, I believe him.

I also know that he and his family appreciate Port Washington for what it is. They moved back here because of proximity to family, the school district and the small-town community feel. When he says that he can bring about positive change, I know that he is also not willing to sacrifice what makes Port Washington a great place to live and raise a family. If elected, Port Washington will have a strong advocate on the Common Council who is willing to fight for what is best for our city.

I ask city voters to vote for Brooks on April 4 or vote early.
