LETTER: Brooks has shown leadership ability; keep him in Assembly

To Ozaukee Press:

Rob Brooks, our state representative, faces an opponent in the Republican primary on Aug. 11. With early voting already in progress, it is important to know the need to retain Rob as our state representative.

As the former sheriff of Ozaukee County, I have had the opportunity to work alongside Rob Brooks on a variety of initiatives in his numerous leadership roles. These roles include County Board supervisor and chairman and state representative. In all of these roles Rob has impressed me with his unique ability to lead, gain consensus and to bring a positive resolution to the issue at hand.

This type of leadership and these qualities are exactly what we need in our representatives, especially now in these trying times. That is why I believe it is so important to retain Rob Brooks as our representative in Madison.
