LETTER: ‘Repulsive’ signs of increased dog walking sully pretty Port
To Ozaukee Press:
To all you dog walkers in Port Washington: With warm weather approaching (I hope) and the situation we are all in, many people and families are out walking in our beautiful city.
I walk daily, and I can’t believe the dog feces left behind by inconsiderate owners.
It’s in the grass and even on the sidewalks. It’s repulsive to see everywhere.
What is wrong with people?
Stores are now bagging everything purchased, so there are plenty of plastic bags available for use.
Please take a few with you. It is your responsibility.
If you can’t do that, don’t walk your dog; keep it in your own yard for easy cleanup.
I once asked a dog walker after his pet defecated while I was outside if he planned to pick it up. He replied, “Mind your own business, I don’t have a bag with me.” It is my business. I love living in this city. Let’s keep it clean!
