Leo Trepes

PAID OBITUARY

Leo E. Trepes, age 85 years, passed away Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019, at his residence.

He was born on June 18, 1934, in Wilton, Wis., to Frank and Margaret (nee Sweeny) Trepes and was raised in Kendall, Wis.

On Dec. 14, 1973, Leo married Karen M. Schoedel. The spent 45 years of marriage together.

Leo was a mechanic by trade and retired from UPS in Elm Grove after 37 years of service.

He spent the majority of his retirement in Crivitz, hunting, fishing, playing cards and watching the Brewers and Packers, but he especially loved spending time with his family and friends.  He also enjoyed traveling, seeing 42 states, and loved to tell his jokes.

Leo is survived by his wife Karen; children Rose (Randy) Ash, Kris (Gary) Laubenstein, Dawn Tolson, Diane Lee, Ruth Janey and Ron (Cindy) Trepes; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; his sister Margaret Hueble; his brother Francis; nieces; nephews; other relatives; the Steinbach family; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother John Trepes, sister Verna Doyle, stepson  Eldred “Butch” Haeuser and sons-in-law Paul Janey and Robert Tolson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 20, at Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Dr., West Bend, from 1 to 2:45 p.m.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. with Pastor Robert Hein presiding.
