Legion, VFW posts to collaborate on Memorial Day program May 25

The American Legion Warren Kane Post 410 and Waubeka Flag Day VFW Post 7037 will collaborate to host a Memorial Day observance at 9 a.m. Monday, May 25, at Veterans Park in Fredonia.

The program will be shortened from previous years’ observances but will include a flag-raising ceremony, an honor guard, rifle salute, the sounding of Taps and an invocation by the Rev. Marshal Frizque, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fredonia.

The event is open to the public.

Attendees are asked to bring their own chairs and to maintain six-foot social distancing rules.
