Land, water conservation to be discussed April 17

“Land and Water Conservation in Wisconsin: Stewarding our Watershed and Unique Open Spaces” is the topic of a panel discussion from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, in Port Washington.

The discussion, hosted by Port Conversations, will be in the lower level of the Niederkorn Library, 316 W. Grand Ave.

Tom Mlada, director of development for Ozaukee Washington Land Trust, will be the guest presenter and panel moderator.

Land Trust staff members will provide an update about plans for enhancements at Sauk Creek Nature Preserve in Port Washington — the trust’s first nature preserve — and opportunities for residents to help with that work.

The panelists will represent conservation organizations from across the area.         Port Conversations is a non-partisan group of citizens exploring ideas.
