To Ozaukee Press: We would like to say thank you to everyone who was involved with the 2020 Polar Bear Plunge. The conditions were just right, with an air temperature of 41 and water temperature of 36. The water cool enough to wake you up and wavy enough to make it interesting. Thank you to all the spectators for their patience with the limited parking at our new south beach venue. Our city does not have ideal habitat for Polar Bears, but we do our best to keep everyone safe. We will try to be consistent in the future with our location, but you never know where Mother Nature will push you. Special thanks to the fire department and dive team for watching over the event and ensuring we were all safe. Jon Crain Port Washington Polar Bears
