KUDOS: Hundreds of kids hunted for thousands of eggs at Hippity Hoppity event

Kiwanis of Greater Port Washington wishes to say thank you to the many community volunteers and donors who assisted with our annual Hippity Hoppity Easter egg hunt and bonnet contest on April 13.

A big thank you to Port Main Street for partnering with the Kiwanis family (Kiwanis Club, Port High Key Club and Portal’s Aktion Club) and to our many business sponsors.             

Over 230 children participated in the Easter egg hunt at Possibility Playground. More than 3,000 eggs had been stuffed earlier by volunteers. We also had a great turnout for the bonnet contest and in the groups of children and parents who visited downtown businesses.

This event takes place on the Saturday before Easter weekend. We are honored to have sponsored it for over 10 years. We just wish we could have warmer temperatures and less wind.
