Keeping Saukville safe

The Landt-Thiel American Legion Auxiliary did its part Monday to make Saukville safer and recognized those whose job it is to do the same. Auxiliary President Mary Ellen Race (center in top left photo) presented $2,500 to Police Chief Robert Meyer (left) and Lt. Patrick Kosmosky to help purchase Flock cameras. Race also presented a donation to (from left in photo below) Saukville Fire Chief Bill Rice, EMT Michelle Paape, who coordinates the department’s fire prevention program and Assistant Fire Chief Jason Laabs for fire safety education. In addition, the Auxiliary presented Deana Laabs with the Saukville Fire Department EMT award and Lt. Andrew Borgenhagen with the Outstanding Firefighter of Wisconsin Award (right). Police officer Cameron Deppiesse (not pictured) was presented with the Edward J. Ormsby Law and Order Award.            Photos by Sam Arendt
