Kathleen M. Donahue
Kathleen M. “Kathy” Donahue (O’Mahar), age 78 years, of West Bend, formerly of Grafton and Milwaukee, was called home to be with the Lord on Thankgiving morning, Nov. 28, 2019, surrounded by her family.
Kathy was born on May 15, 1941, in Milwaukee to Thomas and Josephine O’Mahar (Burbach). She was united in marriage to David P. “Dave” Donahue on June 24, 1961, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Milwaukee.
Kathy graduated from Messmer High School, in Milwaukee, in 1959. She worked in the office at Grob Inc. for 24 years.
Kathy liked stitchery, scrapbooking and gardening. Together with her husband, Dave, she traveled extensively and made friends along the way. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Those Kathy leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband Dave of 58 years; four children, Michael (Marlene) Donahue, Sheilah (Dane) Donahue-Hamilton, Maureen Donahue and Sean (Tracie) Donahue; and nine grandchildren, Stephanie, Ryan, Ian, Matthew, Erin, Andrew, Avery, Murphy and Marley.
She is further survived by her six siblings, Gail (the late Don) Hanley, Thomas (Linda) O’Mahar, Colleen Guthrie, Terry O’Mahar, Mel (Colleen) O’Mahar and Eileen O’Mahar, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, neighbors and friends.
In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by one brother, Rory O’Mahar, and three sisters, Pat Bricco, Ruby O’Mahar and Bridget O’Mahar.
A Mass of Christian burial for Kathy was held on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 138 N. 8th Ave., West Bend, WI 53095. Father Howard Haase presided with Deacon Mark Jansen.
Entombment was at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.
Memorial Masses to Holy Angels Church or to a memorial of your choice are suggested.
Kathy’s family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa for the loving care they provided.
