Job Fair set for April 17
The Belgium Area Chamber of Commerce’s second annual job fair at Cedar Grove-Belgium High School includes a couple of new elements this year.
A career fair will be part of the April 17 event at Cedar Grove-Belgium High School, and the job fair will be open to the public.
“The job and career fair is a great opportunity to educate students on all the job and career opportunities available to them locally. It’s amazing to see how many employment options are available right in our own back yards,” Chamber Director of Marketing Tara Williams said. “It’s also a great way to help our local businesses fill their open positions.
The chamber, she said, received positive feedback from last year’s inaugural event.
The career fair will run from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. It is for companies not hiring but who want to educate students about their professions.
The job fair that is open to the public runs from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
For information on participating, contact the chamber at 483-1200 or email belgiumareachamber@gmail.com, or visit www.belgiumareachamber.org.
The event is free for chamber members and $25 for non-members.
