Jerome W. Johnson

Jerome W. Johnson of Saukville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021, at the age of 80.
He was born in Chicago, Ill., to Gottfried and Gladys (Schultz) Johnson on April 4, 1940, the oldest of their two sons.
Jerome graduated from Custer High School, Milwaukee, in 1959 and later attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to study civil engineering.
He retired from American Can Manufacturing after 21 years of dedicated service.
Jerome enjoyed talking, walks, fishing and reading the Wall Street Journal. He traveled multiple times to Central and South America and enjoyed his time on the cruise ships there.
Jerome is survived by his brother David Dennis Johnson of Grafton and goddaughter Michie C. Robinson of McEwen, Tenn., who loved him like an uncle.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation for Jerome will be held from 11 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021, at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington, Wis. 53074.
Jerome will be laid to rest at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield.
The Johnson family would like to express a special thank you to Mrs. Tammy and all the caring staff at Milan Estates in Saukville who made his time there enjoyable and like his home in room #7.
