James M. Mayer

James “Jim” M. Mayer passed away at Heritage Nursing Home on Tuesday, June 23, 2020. He was 68 years old.
Jim was born on Jan. 10, 1952, in Sheboygan, Wis., to Eugene and Lorena Schueller Mayer.
Jim was a resident of 20 years at Heritage Nursing Home in Port Washington. He served on the council as president and was known as the mailman delivering mail to his fellow residents via his wheelchair. Jim enjoyed bingo and attending family gatherings. He will be missed.
Jim is survived by his brother Eugene (Marilyn) Mayer; sister Mary (Eugene) Meyer; nieces and nephews Linda (Scott) Szczerbinski, Pattie (Tim) Miller, Laurie (Mike) Dybul, Mark Mayer, Amy (Alex) Schroeder, Jeff Mayer, Katie (David) Sumners and Alan (Melissa) Meyer; and 16 great-nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and two infant brothers Dennis and Joseph.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at Divine Savior Parish, Holy Cross Chapel, 5330 Hwy. B, Belgium 53004, at 5:30 p.m. Father Neil Zinthefer presided.
Jim was laid to rest at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Fredonia. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Divine Savior Parish or St. John XXIII Parish are appreciated.
