There are no contested races in Saukville for the spring election, and one incumbent has opted to not run for re-election, according to filings with local clerks.

In the Village of Saukville, longtime Trustee Joseph Caban will not be on the ballot while three other incumbents and one newcomer are running.

Caban said he decided not to run again due to work commitments and a decision to go to school to earn his emergency medical technician certification. He first joined the Village Board in 2009.

Village President Barb Dickmann, who was first elected to the office in 2003, is running unopposed. Also unopposed are trustees David Maglio and Richard Belling.

Andy Hebein, a member of the village’s Community Development and Industrial Review Board, is running to, in effect, fill the seat being vacated by Caban.

Also taking out papers to run for trustee was Keith Dickmann, a brother-in-law of Barb Dickmann and a member of the village’s Board of Zoning Appeals. But he did not return completed paperwork in time.

In the Town of Saukville, four incumbents will be unopposed on the ballot.

Running are Gloria Arrendondo for treasurer, Don Hamm for chairman and Michael Denzien and Curt Rutkowski for supervisors.

All village and town seats are at-large. The election will be Tuesday, April 2.
