On the same day, FoodShare Outreach Specialist Nancy Arce-Aguilar will lead a presentation on Foodshare Quest cards and how they can be used to purchase groceries. The presentation will begin at 6 p.m. Registration is encouraged and can be completed on the Oscar Grady website.
A book discussion of “The Exiles” by Christina Baker Kline will be held April 19 at 6:30 p.m. The New York Times best seller recounts the tale of three woman in 19th century Australia who endure hardships as they fight for redemption.

Another book discussion will be held on April 25, featuring “Firestorm at Peshtigo” by Denise Gess. The book details the events of a large forest fire in Peshtigo on Oct. 8, 1871 — the same night as the Great Chicago Fire.
Oscar Grady’s annual book sale will resume this year after a hiatus caused by the pandemic. A large array of books, CDs and audiobooks will be available for purchase at the library from May 17 to May 21 during regular library hours.
