Homefront Education class set in spring
A free class for supporters of veterans and active military service members is being offered through the National Alliance on Mental Illness’s Ozaukee chapter.
The Homefront Education Program is a six-week class that will meet in Grafton from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays from April 4 to May 8.
It is intended for the families, friends and significant others of military service members and veterans with mental health conditions.
The program focuses on the unique needs of support persons by helping them to understand and aid their loved one while maintaining their own well-being.
The course is presented by trained teachers who have experience with military culture and know what it is like to have a loved one living with symptoms of a mental health condition such as PTSD.
To reserve a spot in the class, call (262) 243-3627.
