Herman P. Scholz

Herman P. Scholz of Grafton passed away peacefully on March 27, 2020, at the age of 89.
Herman is survived by his children Michael (Amy) Scholz, Constance Scholz, Jay Scholz and Tod (Beth) Scholz; and six grandchildren, Brian and Erin Scholz, Rachel (Andrew) Mindham and Amber Scholz, Jay (Amanda) Linton and Terri Scholz-Wann; along with four great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law Fred and Norman Jagow; and sister-in-law Cordie(nee Jagow) Mueller.
Herman was preceded in death by his wife Phoebe (nee Jagow); parents Paul and Gertrude (nee Huebner) Scholz; brothers Alfred and Walter; sister Lois Jagow; sisters-in-law Helen Jagow and Ruth (nee Jagow) Scholz; and brother-in-law Ted Jagow.
Herman was a self-made man who worked in maintenance for Molded Dimensions, Port Washington, for 40 years.
He loved to fish, read, woodwork and watch his grandchildren’s sporting activities. Most importantly he loved spending time with family. Herman also served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy.
A special thank you to the Cove in Port Washington and hospice for making his last days comfortable, along with all the caregivers at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton for their compassion.
A memorial service is pending.
