Harrington Beach State Park offers slew of activities in August
Harrington Beach State Park in the Town of Belgium has weekends full of events in August.
A wildflower walk will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, starting at the Ansay Center.
“Let’s Tie Some Knots” will teach people how to tie knots used by pioneers, firefighters and sailors from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Puckett’s Pond area on Saturday, Aug. 5.
“Walk, Talk and Dance Like Sandhill Cranes” will run from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12, at the Puckett’s Pond Shelter, teaching people about the birds.
“Who Lives in the Pond?” will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12, at the Puckett’s Pond picnic area. Participants are asked to wear shoes they can get dirty to explore what lives in Puckett’s Pond.
A park admission sticker is required for all events.
