Harrington Beach State Park holding educational events

Harrington Beach State Park in the Town of Belgium is hosting several events in the coming weeks.

At 10 a.m. Saturday, May 20, Mushroom Madness will be held. Naturalist Samantha Lammers will lead an exploration on hiking trails and show where to find different mushrooms. Meet at the Ansay Welcome Center.

From 1 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 20, Nature Detectives will be held. The program includes a hike and craft with help from naturalist Tom Lentz.

It is part of the Wisconsin Explorer program that has children ages 3 to 9 read an age-appropriate book to earn a patch.
