Habitat fundraiser set to help with Grafton project
Habitat for Humanity Ozaukee, which is working to complete a side-by-side duplex in Grafton, is seeking to raise $50,000 to help enclose the house before winter.
Habitat is holding a 30 in 30 campaign, in which it asks people to donate $1 a day for a monthly to support the agency.
Funds raised will be used to help pay for repair projects and move forward with the duplex build in Grafton.
The fundraiser is more important than usual, organizers said, because the Covid-19 pandemic has limited fundraising and reduced the number of people, many of them skilled workers, at the home site.
Habitat will also launch a Raising the Roofs Building Homes business campaign seeking more business partners to help us complete the two homes.
The total cost to build both homes is $250,000.
To donate to the 30 In 30 campaign, send contributions to Habitat for Humanity Ozaukee, 885 Badger Circle, Grafton WI 53024 or visit www.ozhh.org.
