The grass is always greener when you have a new artificial turf field

Crews on Tuesday were wrapping up the installation of Port Washington High School’s Astroturf football field, which has a large Pirates logo at midfield and black end zones. The $900,000 field is the first phase of what is to be an outdoor athletic facility improvement initiative that calls for a new track, home-side bleachers, concession stand and restrooms, as well as artificial turf baseball fields.
