Grafton library schedules drone workshop, clubs

    August events at the Grafton library include workshops, book clubs and adult coloring.
    “Learn to Fly a Drone” will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3, in the lower-level meeting room  
    Reference librarian Karl Suechting will teach three sessions on how to fly a Parrot Mini Drone.  
    He will also demonstrate how to create basic block coding programs on a computer to control the drone remotely.  
    Advance registration is required.
    Adult coloring will be done from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3.
    Coloring sheets and utensils will be provided.
    The chess club will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, for people of all ages and levels of ability.
    “Cutting the Cord — How to get rid of your cable bill by setting up streaming on your Smart TV” is the topic to be addressed by Suechting during a 1 to 2 p.m. Tech Tuesday event on Aug. 10.
    The Readers of the Night Book Club  will meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, in the lower-level meeting room.         The Grafton Writers’ Workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, in the lower level meeting room.
    Area fiction writers are welcome to attend the workshop.
    The library is at 1620 11th Ave.
