Grafton Legion Auxiliary members would rather shop than hunt

Wisconsin’s gun deer season opens this Saturday, but members of the Rose-Harms American Legion Auxiliary in Grafton, including (from left) Sherrie Pals, Mary Arvai, Maria Keegan, Cathy Brunnquell and Janice Bould, don’t plan on being at camp this year. Instead, they will host the Deer Hunter’s Widow Weekend Makers Market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 19 at the Legion clubhouse at 1540 13th Ave., Grafton. Vendors will be selling holiday decorations, jewelry, greeting cards, skin care products and more. The event will also include a bake sale, Bloody Mary bar and lunch and other drinks will be available for purchase. Proceeds will benefit veterans and military families.         Photo by Sam Arendt
