Grafton gearing up for Giro fun

Bicyclists will once again race through the streets of downtown Grafton when the Tour of America’s Dairyland race series stops in the village for Giro d’Grafton on Saturday, June 18.

The Giro d’Grafton is a .84-mile criterium featuring six exciting turns that starts and finishes in front of a crowd of spectators at Beech Street and Wisconsin Avenue.

One of the nastiest turns on the course is on Broad Street, which is the site of the Broad Street Bend Beer Garden. People in the beer garden must be 21 or older and present identification. Those who pre-register at will receive two beers, two tacos or a quesadilla and a party cup.

Celebrate Grafton, the host of Giro d’Grafton, is still recruiting volunteers to help spectators cross the course and work at the beer garden. To register to volunteer, go to
