Grace Fitzgerald

Grace A Fitzgerald (nee Jongeblood) was born to eternal life on June 6, 2020, in Grafton, Wis.
Grace married the love of her life, James Fitzgerald, in 1953, and together they raised six children. Grace was a proud grandma to 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
“Amazing Grace” was a loving and generous person, and there was never a dull moment for those who were lucky to be around her. She filled her time with volunteering, the sheepshead club, the Red Hat Society and countless hobbies. Some of her favorites were painting, playing pounce with family, jigsaw puzzles, Mahjong, Scrabble, quilting and gardening.
She loved to socialize and always showed up with stories to share and a perfect manicure.
She will be deeply missed by many.
Grace was preceded in death by her spouse James M. Fitzgerald, son Michael J. Fitzgerald and grandson Jason M. Decent.
She was a loving and devoted mother to Mary Jo Econom, Sharon (Tony) Grant, Robert Fitzgerald, John (Patty Southerland) Fitzgerald and Joseph Fitzgerald, and is further survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank the staffs of Horizon Home Hospice and Lawless Hospice for the care and compassion that they provided to Grace.
A celebration of life to commemorate Grace’s spirit will be held in the future when it is safer to gather.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to a charity of your choice in honor of Grace.
