Getting ready to break a sweat for veterans

Preparing for the Saturday, May 20, Sweat4Vets walk between the Rose-Harms American Legion Post in Grafton and Peter Wollner American Legion Post in Cedarburg, which is organized by the Auxiliary units of both posts, were (from left) John Timothy, pastor of New Life Church; Sandy Mack of the Cedarburg Auxiliary; Amy Luft of the Grafton Auxiliary; Doralee Piering of the Cedarburg Auxiliary; Carolyn Schuertzer of the Grafton Auxiliary; and Laura O’Desky, owner of Oasis Senior Advisors. The 2.5-mile walk starts at 10 a.m. The event, which is in its sixth year, has raised more than $90,000 for veteran’s causes. This year’s proceeds will benefit the Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative. To register, go to www.sweat4vetswi.com. Photo by Sam Arendt
