Gallery 224 featuring ARTservancy artists’ work

Devon Hugdahl, who has been the ARTservancy artist in residence at the Sauk Creek Nature Preserve, will be the first artist featured by Gallery 224 as it begins its reopening.
The gallery, which is moving to 303 N. Franklin St., will feature an exhibit by a different artist in residence from its ARTservancy program in the front window every month.
The monthly exhibits will be supplemented with information on the gallery’s website and a series of artist talks at their featured property to share the work of the artists and conservationists.
Hugdahl will host a talk about his art and the things he has discovered from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Sauk Creek Nature Preserve in Port Washington.
Face masks and social distancing will be required.
Applications for the 2020-21 ARTservancy program are being accepted through Aug. 31.
In addition to the Ozaukee Washington Land Trust, partners for this year’s event include the River Revitalization Foundation and Milwaukee Area Land Conservancy. Properties featured this year are not limited to Ozaukee County.
