Frog-friendly fun
Riveredge Nature Center in the Town of Saukville was the place to be Saturday, June 5, during Frog Fest, a celebration of frogs, tadpoles, turtles, salamanders and other creatures that live in the wetlands. Willow Zopp, 5, showed off a frog she caught (left photo) while 7-year-old Mary Keepman searched to find amphibians. In addition to searching for the creatures, youngsters learned about frog calls, visited with the center’s resident box turtle, Glitter, and received a bag of related crafts to be made at home.
